Okinawa Team just got back from USA Karate Nationals and Team trials. This year beautiful city of Pittsburgh, state Pennsylvania hosted this top USA Karate event.
Our Team demonstrated strong skills and performed strong!
RESULTS:
MARIA GLADKIH – USA National Champion in Kumite and Silver medalist in Kata.
MARTIN GISSA – Bronze medalist in individual Elite Kumite, a reserve for US ОК National Team, and also a Silver medalist in Team Kumite.
ROBERT YEGIKYAN – Silver medalist in Team Kumite.
DENIS GLADKIH – Silver medalist in Kumite.
MILLA KHODJAEV – fought with passion, demonstrated strong skills, didn’t get what she was hoping for, but will come back next year and will be ready!
Sensei VITALY PADALKA – USA National Champion in Advanced Kumite and Double Silver medalist in Kata (Shotokan Style and All-style Kata).

Now this came to the end, and we are back to Denver and back to hard training.
We made a lot of memories, made new friends, got charged with motivation!
Results of the competition are important, however it’s not what all of us will remember in a year or two or ten… What we’ll remember is the emotions we felt and the fun we had together as a team as a karate family #DreamTeamOkinawa
We got to enjoy Pittsburgh downtown, took a fairy around it, we walked, we ran, we got sunburned, we ate ice cream, we discovered many cool places, took a lot of pictures, laughed, jumped, posed, we had a fantastic time!
